The initial premise for Anthology II was requested by a reader. Paraphrased that premise was this:

A boy (15-17) who goes through airport security (or similar) but can’t get passed the metal detector. The airport is super busy & the boy can’t get a private room so they do a strip search in front of everyone in the airport. 

This story was a complete bastard to write and edit. It went through multiple evolutions during each phase and I worried it wasn’t going to work for a while but I’m happy with how it turned out. On reflection, thinking your work is rubbish while still writing it is like eating a bag of flour and saying your cake tastes dreadful.

As a writer I sometimes overthink things. That the above would not happen in reality was the main stumbling block for me. However, it fit nicely with the altered-reality premise of my Anthology series so I ran with ideas that would make the exhibition of the premise work.

For me, the some of the best Anthology shows are cautionary tales so dystopian politics was the first genre I thought of when coming up with dramatic ideas that were compatible with the smutty ones.

Please don’t let the authoritarianism, nationalism or populism put you off. The story is mostly about a gratuitous strip search in an airport and humiliating sexual exploitation for a well-deserving villain.

The story also got way too big so it has been split into two parts but both should be online on the same date. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

P.S. I intend to start editing A Series of Embarrassing Events next week. It will not start to go online until end August/ beginning September. However, there will be another Anthology before then; I’ve already written it and I’ll give more info on that exciting story after Assport Control has debuted.
