Chapter 24: Accidents and Emergencies
Noah participates in an EMARP in which he plays an injured football player.
Noah is humiliated by in a hospital scenario featuring a dochumentary maker.

Excerpt:
Noah just nodded and the doctor smiled comfortingly.
“Why don’t you tell me what happened, Noah?” Tarik prompted.
“Well...” Noah started to say. “It’s hard to say really...”
Really, it was hard to say because Noah had been given no information. Noah made it up as he want along – he was in a football kit and he’d hurt himself somehow.
“I was playing football after school and I hurt myself,” Noah said lamely. “I had a big tackle...” Noah said without smirking, “And someone came down heavily on me.”
Tarik, Dale, the cameraman and Fane bit back laughter at the double meanings of Noah’s remarks.
“I don’t see anything obvious but I should examine you. Why don’t you slip off your shoes and socks and your t-shirt so I check out your legs and torso,” doctor Morningstar suggested – also with double meaning.
Noah sat down to pull off his trainers and the socks that came up to his knees. Exposing his hairless legs and bare feet to the PLNews camera, which focused on the exposed skin. Noah pulled his t-shirt off to reveal his thin body; his chest and abdomen was bereft of any hair and his shorts and underwear rode low enough to tease his hairless pubis too.
“I’ll look at your legs first,” doctor Morningstar said.
Tarik proceeded to caress and stroke Noah’s legs and spread his toes while playing with the teenagers feet. To make it look good, he checked Noah’s knees with a reflex hammer.
“Well that all looks ok,” said Tarik.
Tarik then examined Noah’s ribs, lifting his arms to expose totally hairless armpits.
“Hmm,” doctor Morningstar said. “You don’t have any hair here, Noah.”
“Get a good shot of the smooth armpits,” Dale said to his cameraman.
“You should have started puberty by now,” Tarik said. “Your legs and chest are hairless too. Do you shave?”
“No,” Noah half lied – his legs were always smooth but his armpits usually had a meagre offering.
“Noah, you’re about to leave high school and have no armpit hair. Is that embarrassing?” Dale asked for his news documentary.
“Oh... sometimes. I guess...” Noah replied.
“All the other boys in the team have normal body hair. Noah’s the only one who hasn’t grown pubes yet,” Fane ventured the humiliating detail.
“Your legs are completely bald too, Noah. Doctor, is this common in older teenage boys?” Dale asked.
“Different people develop at different speeds. Though it is slightly unusual to have no armpit hair at all,” the doctor admitted. “Perhaps you have delayed puberty.”
Yet another embarrassing anecdote.
